Do you like to drink a cocktail when you go out for a night on the town? How about eating a cocktail for a night at home?

The perfect answer to chocolates during summer is Hotel Chocolat's Cocktails-to-Chill. Save yourself from sticky fingers and melting madness by popping these truffles in the fridge.

For £10 you get a box of 16 cocktail-flavoured chocolates, making them great for sharing at a dinner party or barbecue. There are four of each kind, including Mojito, Raspberry Daiquiri, Lemon Sour, and Passionfruit Margarita. Mojito is a fusion of lime, mint, and rum, but in my opinion, the rum is too sting as it overpowers the lime and the mint is not even noticeable. The other three are much better in proportioned, and putting them in the fridge enhances the flavours.




If you don't drink, then you can still join in the fun with Mocktails-to-Chill, which are alcohol-free. These include Spiced Pineapple Punch, Peach Iced Tea, Virgin Mojito and Wild Strawberry Daiquiri. Again, I felt the lime and mint in the Virgin Mojito was too subtle. I found the strawberry flavour in the daiquiri a bit indistinct, but the peach ganache worked really well with the Darjeeling black tea, while the mixed spices in the Pineapple Punch brought warmth. I think it would make a better winter chocolate for that reason, but to be honest, any chocolate can be enjoyed anytime of the year.
