The third instalment of what I call Cadbury's 'sandwich chocolates', is the Dairy Milk Oat Crunch. I bought them as a BOGOF deal from Sainsbury's for a £1, and have been given strict instructions by my mother never to buy them again - not because they are awful, but because they taste so good that it would be dangerous to get more.
Previous sandwich chocolates in this range are the
Dairy Milk Ritz and the
Dairy Milk LU, but Oat Crunch is by far the best.
The oat biscuit is the kind you might otherwise have with cheese, but it works just as delightfully here. Although it is the same Dairy Milk recipe used for their original bar, I actually think the chocolate tastes nicer here. This is possibly because the the shape, and the added crunch of the biscuit, which means the chocolate can only be nibbled rather than wolfed down in chunks. I think you can appreciate the flavours and melt more like this.
Buy these at your own risk.
