Demarquette's latest caramel selection was the winner of the 2014 Gold Great Taste Award, and consists of two flavoured caramels inside a 35% milk chocolate shell.
The green painted caramels are lime, while the yellow caramels are banana. I had high expectations, but they were not met. The lime lacked zing, and the banana, though full of lovely flavours, was too sweet for my licking. The caramel was a bit too thick and sickly for me.
My opinion is that they both are missing something, and I think the answer lies in combining the two together. Instead of one lime caramel and one banana caramel, I think fusing the two flavours together would make a perfect chocolate.
