Try something a little different this Easter, with a decadent chocolate pizza. It is easy to make this recipe in the comfort of your own kitchen and you can be as creative as you like. This pizza will make a great finale to any Easter celebration, especially if any chocoholics are in attendance.
Just a slice?
Chocolate Pizza Base Ingredients:
250 grams plain flour
2 teaspoons active dried yeast
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons olive oil
Prepare the pizza base - combine the plain flour, cocoa powder and salt in a food processor, then pour in the olive oil and prepared yeast. Blend until a dough forms, then knead well on a floured bench. Set aside for an hour to allow the dough to rise.
Prepare the pizza base
Once the dough has doubled in size, roll it out into a flat circular base, then place it gently on a tray and bake for ten minutes in a moderate oven.
Add chocolate bits
Spread the chocolate sauce across the pizza base, then sprinkle on the chocolate bits.
Add some nuts
Sprinkle on the crushed peanuts, brown sugar and the thickened cream, then return the pizza to the oven for five minutes, so that the chocolate and cream melt into each other.
Add the cream
Serve with a dollop of cream or ice cream and some extra grated chocolate for an unusual Easter treat. Enjoy.
