Am I cheating reviewing this? After all, they are not technically chocolates. Grandiflorum is in fact an arboreal fruit found in the Brazilian rain forest, and is a relation of the cacao bean.
Always breaking boundaries, Demarquette combined with cream and honey, and dusted it with cocoa powder. Was it delicious? Yes. Could I tell the difference between this and chocolate? No.
The thick mousse filling is is almost jelly-like in texture - soft but springy. It has deep rich flavours, with subtle fruit notes carried along by the honey.
If you are looking for something different from chocolate, then this probably isn't it, but it is most certainly as good as.
