Mcvitie's is mostly associated with its chocolate digestives, but they do a whole range of chocolate biscuits. One of which is Taxi, a 17.2g bar that comes in a multipack of nine.
I have seen them in Sainsbury's before, but never bought them, not thinking that they looked all that. But this weekend they were on special offer for £1, so I decided to give them a try.
I must admit that my expectations were low, but the Taxi bars were in fact a pleasant surprise. Covered in a layer of milk chocolate are two wafer biscuits - not just a dry tasteless wafer though. This wafer is filled with chewy caramel, and sandwiched in between is a delicious thin spread of chocolate creme that transforms it from an ordinary snack to something quite delicious.
