Ben Jerrys Ice Cream Couch Potato

You can expect a rather strange taste sensation with every bite/lick of this ice cream. The name, "Couch Potato", also gives you a small hint at the bizarre chocolate covered potato chip chunks you will come across inside this tub. This is one way to find out whether potato and chocolate work together for your taste buds.



Vanilla forms the basis of this adventurous Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream . There are generous serves of salted caramel sauce in between the vanilla, which is curious enough, until you hit the crunchy chocolate chunks.



Those crunchy chunks are in fact salty potato chip clusters covered in chocolate. They taste a bit too wierd and out of place, and our family consensus was to spit them out. Apart from the chocolate chunks the rest of the ice cream tasted great, but it was certainly fun to try it.

Ben & Jerry's have a large range of imaginative and strange tasting ice creams - have you tried any others? Chunky Monkey or Chubby Hubby perhaps? Apart from their odd flavors, they do source certified Fair Trade cocoa and sugar, and cage free eggs for their popular range of ice cream, so they get a big thumbs up from me.
