Coles Marshmallow Pretzels

Recently spotted in my local Coles supermarket on special for $2.50 was a family block style milk chocolate with marshmallow and pretzels.

Being a lover of the sweet and salty combo I decided to try it out. The 200 gram block of chocolate is the same size as a Cadbury block and the chocolate is very similar if not the same. I'd even wager that the chocolate is Cadbury Australia made for Coles.

The pink marshmallows are the same smaller sized ones you'd find in the Cadbury bars of rocky road and give the chocolate a great texture. As far as the pretzel 'chunks' promised on the label, they are actually really impossible to spot. The pretzel salty taste is definitely there, but the pretzels are ground so fine they are a far cry from chunks.

For lovers of the salty/sweet combo this actually does hit the spot as it's not too sweet and gives a great texture. So while the label does over promise a bit, it's certainly a tasty treat I'd buy again, especially at the much lower price than traditional Cadbury blocks!
