Noir Guanaja Dark Chocolate

Noir Guanaja Dark Chocolate

I've spotted Guanaja dark chocolate in both Waitrose and Wholefoods as of late, but when my sister bought me some to try, when she came to visit for the weekend, I was completely surprised.

This bar is a standard, easy to eat kind of chocolate. Of all the varieties I've tried, Guanaja is one of the simplest. It doesn't bother with fancy packaging or outlandish claims, instead it lets the chocolate speak for itself.

This bar of 'noir' chocolate is just that - dark, black, almost, and deeply flavoured. It goes down a treat with a cup of coffee, or after a meal when you want just a little something sweet.

It's one of the least bitter dark chocolates I've tried, despite the 70% cacao content.

For a fine, but also middle of the road, kind of dark chocolate, which is better than the shop - bought stuff, but not too fancy, Guanaja is the one.
