Terramazon Cacao Nibs

(£4.50), are some of the raw jewels my Auntie brought me back from WholeFoods recently.



These add crunch and flavour to a smoothie, althought they posses chocolate characteristics because they are the most natural and raw form of the cocoa bean they don't provide an intense chocolate taste, more like a shot of chocolate-scented energy.

also work well over porridge with honey, or added to chili, for a little Amazon-flavoured kick.

Since receiving this gift I've done all of the above with roaring success. My favourite way to use these nibs are, however, in a hot milkshake. They go slightly gooey and mix well with agave syrup for a healthy alternative to a sweet treat.

Highly recommended for those watching their weight, or looking for a natural alternative to regular chocolate.
