Chocolate Tea The Tea Centre

I was a bit wary about the idea of chocolate tea. Hot chocolate and tea are both wonderful things but I wasn't sure whether they would go well together, or if this would be another disaster like that dolphin/lemur incident. But my husband bought this for me from The Tea Centre in Brisbane and I took the plunge (metaphorically, no actual plungers involved, this is TEA, not that other blasphemous brew which shall not be named).

Tea Centre chocolate tea is a blend of high quality loose leaf black tea, choc chips and cacao pieces. I brewed it for a little over three minutes, as per the directions, using a one cup infuser (the Tea Centre also sells those if you don't have one). The aroma was rich and made the whole kitchen smell wonderful. The flavour was actually fairly subtle, with just a hint of chocolate. I wouldn't drink it every day, but it makes a nice change for an afternoon or after dinner cuppa. I'm calling this experiment a success!
