Hotel Chocolat Goose Eggs

Hotel Chocolat Goose Eggs

Retailing at £13, Hotel Chocolat's Goose Eggs are a tempting pastel of colours that draw you in. Although there are four eggs, there are only three flavours, which I find a bit disappointing. Made out of white chocolate and decorated with vanilla seeds, the selection includes caramel (brown), strawberry (pink), and vanilla (yellow and purple). Personally, I think colour two vanillas different colours a bit deceptive, and would have liked a fourth flavour. Perhaps instead of all white chocolate, it could have been a mix of milk, dark, and white?

In terms of flavour, the vanilla chocolat was nice enough, but not particularly up to the Hotel Chocolat standard (though clearly better than cheap confectionary brands). My mum was the one to try the caramel and strawberry, but after a month of anticipation (she gave up chocolate for Lent), she felt that it was lacking that certain 'je ne sais quoi'. If you want to buy a late Easter egg, then I would recommend going for one of their other choices.
