Montezumas Valentines Sale

Valentine's Day is over, but not all the stock is gone from Montezumas' themed selection of chocolates. That can only mean one thing. A sale. I received an email from Montezumas the other day saying that they had 50% off all their Valentine's chocolates until stocks last. I therefore did the only sensible thing a chocoholic could do, went crazy.



Amongst their stock included a 65g milk chocolate heart infused with lime and vanilla. These two flavours are subtle, but when combined, make a distinctive taste. The contrast between sharp and mellow compliment each other beautifully.



When you break into the heart, you can also see just how thick the chocolate is, which results in a slow, mouth watering melt.



Also on offer were a box of Valentine's Truffles, which contained white and milk chocolate hearts. The white chocolate had a smooth ganache filling made with strawberry paste. The strawberry taste was again subtle, but much more satisfying than the highly artificial sugary substances you get in cheap supermarket brands. The milk chocolate had a maple syrup ganache, which was sweet and creamy. These truffles are available in different box sizes, as well as a small bagged version.
