Dairy Milk LU

A few months ago I reviewed the new Dairy Milk Ritz , but it took a while for Sainsbury's to bring in its companion to the set, .

The other day I saw a pack of three on special offer at £1, so thought it was time to give them a try. Unlike the savoury American Ritz cracker, LU is a sweet French biscuit, which I think works better with milk chocolate. The two products compliment one another with varying degrees of sweetness, and an interesting contrast in textures.

As with the Ritz, it is hard to say whether is a biscuit of chocolate bar. Its format is kind of like a disproportionately filled sandwich.

The most enjoyable way I have found of eating them is nibbling the chocolate around the outside, leaving perfectly formed mini biscuit pieces that remind me a bit of a Viennese chocolate biscuit.

These aren't quite as melt in the mouth as that, but certainly very satisfying, and more substantial than they first appear.
