Galaxy Cake Bar

Looking for something different from my usual selection of chocolate bars and biscuits, I came across the discount rack in Sainsbury's, and found a packed of s reduced to 99p. With five bars in a pack, this seemed like a bargain with nothing to lose.

The Mars Company got Mcvities biscuit champs to do the all important baking, creating a very light and moist chocolate cake is layered with a chocolate buttercream topping that has just the right amount of sweetness. This is covered in fairly substantial coating of galaxy chocolate. The coating does not provide the same satisfaction as a Galaxy chocolate bar as it does not have the same melt effect. At the same time, however, I did not get the sickly sweet taste in my mouth, that can happen when you eat solid chocolate.

These bars are a great alternative if you want chocolate, without the risk of eating a whole 100g bar.
