Mexican Chocolate Flakes

Mexican Chocolate Flakes

I love hot chocolate. It is best in its pure form and made with hot milk and real chocolate - that's the only real hot chocolate worth mentioning, or making for that matter.

Fortunately, the Cool Chile Company feel the same, and have released a superb pot of grated Mexican chocolate (£3.50).

Admittedly, you can use this however you like, but I've used it to make hot chocolate. It is wonderful.

I've not had the pleasure of enjoying hot chocolate in Mexico, but I have made it a few times at home, with varying results.

This pot of Mexican-flavoured chocolate is the real deal. It has the perfect balance of sweet, spice and savoury notes which make it a brilliant addition to any dish.

Like I said, I've used it to make hot chocolate, which is a damn joy to drink. I whisked two teaspoons of grated chocolate with a mug of hot milk. It creates the most wonderful scent, and with a little sugar it becomes a thing of glory.

For a sweet taste of Mexico, the Cool Chile Company is the way to go.

Buy it in Wholefoods, or on the Cool Chile website.
