Montezumas Adam Eve

Montezuma's Monkey Bar collection are a series of 500g bars named after cockney rhyming slang. The bar I am reviewing today is called Adam & Eve, which means 'would you believe it?'

Well would you believe that this 43% Venezuelan milk chocolate is not actually flavoured with apples, but with oranges and hazelnuts? I was a bit surprised as well - but in no way disappointed.



The packaging suits the theme of celebrating Britishness, and London in particular. Anyone feeling patriotic is going to be drawn to this bar.

Once unwrapped, things just get better. The bar is divided into large, easily snappable squares, and scent of orange oil is immediate.



Once broken into, the surprise just gets better. There are no tiny pieces of nut scattered around this bar, no sir-ree; big whole hazel nuts litter every square.
With a smooth and creamy texture, Montezuma claim that 'most people will struggle to share this bar around and not hide it away.' They are correct. This is in my secret stash.
