Sea Salt Nibs Chocolate Bar

Sea salt and chocolate has to be one of my favourite combinations as of late. I purchased the sea salt and nibs bar a while ago and completely forgot about it. It has been sitting in my kitchen cupboard for nearly three weeks. I found it last night, and oh what a joy it was to peel back that wrapper.



The chocolate was in perfect condition, of course, and as I bit into the bar, it was like I'd come home.

Unlike caramel chocolate and salt, this bar fused together sea salt and chocolate nibs. Cacao nibs are naturally high in caffeine, so you only really need a small amount for an instant, natural, high. It seems the producer were aware of this when creating this bar because the nib content, like the sea salt, is low, but there's a hum of flavour which I am forever drawn to.

The clever use of salt in this bar really brings out the depth of flavour of the chocolate nibs. Sweetness, fruitiness, and a smooth texture is all wrapped up in a glorious bar that's made for sharing, not that I shared this, at all.

That said, I could only manage a few squares because I was only curious rather than hungry for chocolate. So this bar has been wrapped up until tomorrow, when my chocolate-hungry self will no doubt be on the hunt for the elusive taste of chocolate and salt.
