Montys Market Truffles

Montezumas has started what they call [ILNK http://www.montezumas.co.uk/chocolate-gifts/Monty-s-Market.html Monty's Market]. This is chocolate that they are selling at discount prices. Unable to resist a bargain, I quickly basketed several bags of truffles.



The first I tried were Blondies, named after those delicious white chocolate tray bakes. That's basically what these are, just without the flour. A strong note of vanilla makes them standout.



On the opposite end of the spectrum are their organic Dark Chocolate Cubes, made from 73% cocoa. Although these were also flavoured with vanilla, the intensity of the dark chocolate made it undetectable. These a pretty rich, so only for this who really love their dark chocolate.



The Spiced Mandarin is a deceptive named because they are actually two individual truffles packaged together. The smooth shelled truffles are spiced with cinnamon, while the flaky truffles have mandarin.



My favourite from the selection is the Brandy Snap Truffles. They are not too overpowering, just lightly enhanced with a warm brandy flavour.



The last truffles are Peanut Butter Mini Eggs, which are a less sweet and more delicious alternative to a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup.
