Nanny Goat Monkey Bar

Nanny Goat is cockney slang for 'on a boat', which is exactly where Montezuma's 500g chocolate bar has been. Made with 43% Venezuelan milk chocolate, the Nanny Goat includes salted peanuts shipped from the USA, and is flavoured with butterscotch.

At first this sounds a bit like a fancy Snickers bar, but it could not be anything further from that. The quality of the chocolate is not even comparable, and the strong notes of butterscotch make this thick smooth slab all the creamier.



At first I thought the peanut flavour rather subtle, but that was only because I took a bite from a section where the peanuts were not distributed quite as evenly. When you actually take a bite of peanut, you'll know it. The decision to use salted peanuts was yet another marvellous choice, because it enhances the butterscotch no end. If you have tried salted caramel before, then you'll know what I am talking about.

Saying this as someone who is not a huge fan of peanuts, the Nanny Goat is a true shining star from their collection.
