Sponge Snickers Bounty

Last week I went to a [LINOK http://www.weekendnotes.co.uk/bbc-food-bakes-cakes/ Cake & Bake] show and came across a company called Sponge . Sponge make delicious cakes from your traditional Victoria Sponge to a quirky Apple Crumble. They also make cakes in the style of favourite chocolate bars, including Snickers and Bounty.

I was unable to resist these, especially since they were on a special show price offer of £1 each. Usually these baby cakes are bought in bulk between 4 - 32 at a time, starting from £9.99. You can also buy their cakes in large slices or a as whole cakes of 7" or 10".



These two cakes tasted exactly like their chocolate bar equivalent, only better. They had a light moist texture and was more satisfying than the chocolate bars as well. Nor were they sickly because they were not overly sweet like the bars can be. Both are made with chocolate sponge and have a buttercream top and filling, which is then individually flavoured with either toffee and peanuts for the Snickers and coconut for the Bounty. Delicious.
